To qualify for a real estate license in Arkansas, applicants must complete a minimum of sixty (60) classroom hours of approved real estate education.
At least thirty (30) of these hours must cover the basic principles of real estate. Coursework must be completed through an accredited post-secondary institution or a real estate school licensed by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC).

This course prepares experienced agents for broker-level responsibilities and licensing examination requirements.

Arkansas Continuing Education
To renew an active Arkansas real estate license, licensees must complete seven (7) hours of continuing education each year prior to license renewal for the upcoming calendar year.
For individuals who receive their license during the current year, the continuing education requirement begins at the time of their second active license renewal.
